Staying Jolley
Sam Jolley is a self-proclaimed adrenaline junkie.
Growing up, he spent most of his time racing dirt bikes. He spent his high school years at South Sevier High School located in rural Utah, where after-school activities were in short supply. “There wasn’t anything to do out there but find a dirt bike,” Sam said. So, he did just that.
As he grew older, his childhood dreams became his life as he began competing in motocross races throughout Utah and the surrounding states.
Though, an accident during a race on New Year’s Day of 2003 ended his life on two wheels. Jolley suffered several serious injuries, and he was left paralyzed from the waist down with also little dexterity in his hands.
Today, Sam is rebuilding his active lifestyle through exercising and adrenaline-filled activities that accommodate his disability, like paragliding.
